About The Hospital Attachment

Well, first of all, it lasted for 5 days, but attending the hospital attachment was great fun O.O



1ST DAY


First day was pretty nice, after a great amount of time, i finally get to meet some of my old schoolmate which i have not seen for some time, which includes joshua, liang yuan, chun sien, brian and janson. (sorry pei ting, but i get to saw you quite often dy =p) And of course i get to meet some lovely new friends hahaha! Which are yvonne and agnes. Hmm, first day, before visiting the wards, a talk was given, the doctor kinda mean =.= very discouraging, but doesnt change my mind, im still sticking with medicine!! =D so, after the talk, we get to visit the ENT and EYE ward. I would say, that ward is the quietest among all wards =.= so, my group ended the earliest that day =)

2ND DAY!

Second day was not too bad, were given a talk about gynaecologist, by a gynaecologist, hmm...even so, im still not quite interested in that field though, but who knows, might change my mind half way. After the talk, my group visited the RTU ward, we get to see lots of cancer patients there, sad =( hafto go through radiotherapy and chemotherapy, but i learned alot through them too, best ward for the whole attachment (from my point of view though). =D That night, due to request by someone, dont know, but thank you, i get to try the On Call =) the thing started at 5pm and ended at 3am hahaha, really excited about it that time =) but sadly, i didnt get the chance to rest much in the afternoon though =.= that night, i was posted with pei ting and nadia to the paediatric ward, under a medical officer named Ms Susan Wendy, she was quite cold to us at first, didnt bother us, we felt kinda not wanted that time, haha reason is because, she always disappear without telling us. =.= So we were sort of left in the ward, loitering, not sure what to do. And when she do appear!! we will follow her, more like stalking i would say =.= haha. During her MIA, we 3 went lepak, and found joshua's and liang yuan's group haha at the A & E ward. We all hang out together till, went to do our own visiting. But sadly, we got chased out from the gynae ward =.= after that, we went back to our own wards. Luckily, that time, we saw our doctor again, but this time, she asked us to follow her to A & E, there she did her clinical. We get to see a kid with abscess(a new word we learned =D) very sad, seems very painful for him, he was crying the whole way >.<

After that, we went back to our ward, by that time, it was approximately 10pm night. Was getting sleepy, but still bear on. Then during that time, the nurse gave us a baby to look after. Pei Ting was the one first to look after, its kinda impressive scene for me to see this, because its like so amazing for a girl like her to manage to stop the baby from crying =x haha. Okay, so after that, i went over to her and take a look at the baby. CUTE indeed, so i played with him(i think), haha but things didnt went so well, he started to cry, wanting a hug O.O i never really hug a baby before. And i was like oh ow...starting to panic, PT also didnt know how to hug O.O but luckily, the nurse came and carried him, stopped him from crying phew~

Since after that, we chatted with our doctor, she is nice and friendly. Telling us about how a doctor's life will be, in an encouragin way though haha. By the time its 3am, we left our ward and went to the main door to meet up with Joshua. Joshua brought us out to McD with his brand new car! His driving is kinda scary though @.@ by the time we reached there, it was about 3.30am and im kinda surprise to still get to see some people there. Weird people =.= with weird looks. Scary ladies too O.O okay, lets not talk about that. =) Joshua was kinda pro. He ate 3 burgers there eh! 2 Big Mac and 1 Double cheese burger @.@ i couldnt keep up, just a Mc chicken and cheese burger is quite enough for me =.=

At around 4.30am, we went back to SGH. That time, i was so exhausted, drop to the chair and fell asleep =.= but was woke up at 5.30am. They say there was an accident and ask us to see. We went to search for the casualties, but saw no one, was so dizzy and drowsy that time, so gave up and went back to sleep again. But this time i woke up at 6.30. Slightly awake, but still tired, so we went for a walk and settle down at the bench, waiting for time to pass. Not long after that, Brian and Liang Yuan came dy and we told them what happened. I went to get myself some milo, but silly me, i bought coffee instead. But didnt really bother anymore, just drank it and went to the 3rd day's programme. =)


3RD DAY


After a night with not enough sleep, i looked like a zombie, walking into the theater and sat down. I saw Agnes there, and we shared to her a little about what happened (Agnes was with the 2nd batch of "On Call"), not long after that, the 1st programme of the day began. A talk given out by another doctor. I was too tired, so didnt really pay attention what he was saying. Joshua, who went back home earlier that morning, was late for the talk because he couldnt find any carpark hahaha XD

After the talk, we went to our own different wards again. Today, our group were to visit the A & E ward. We went round the ward, but the nurse who bring us around was kinda busy. So, by the time its around noon, i curi curi called my mum and pick me back home haha, was too exhausted already @.@


4TH DAY

Same as the previous 3 days, we first began with a talk by a doctor, then followed with the visit. =) This day, my group was placed to visit the specialist clinics. We went to clinic and clinics, each with different specialty. The 1st was physiology, followed by psychiatrict and so so. I get to see people do dialysis O.o i found out that each time they do it in General Hospital will cost them rm16!! or was it rm13? O.o anyway, either one, but they say, in a private hospital, it can cost as much as rm200!! leh...walao O.O!

Anyway, by the time i reached the pharmacy department, i went for searching, but with no luck, i couldnt find my cousin haih..so after the rounds at the specialist. We were brought back to a room, and was given a lecture by a head nurse or something, bla bla bla =.= those few discouraging words again, but she did gave some tips that there will be a doctor during our interview time @@ and believe me, she sure can talk O.O after that, nothing much happen on this day =/

5TH DAY (FINAL DAY)

Kinda sad during this day, cause might not have chance to meet my new friends, and especially the old ones too =( due to this reason, our group, all friends group, together with the new friend Agnes and Yvonne, decided to meet up at lunch together at Hung Hung/ Feng Feng?? O.o not sure, but either one will do. We met up after our last ward visit, by the way, my last one was the male and female surgical wards, nothing much to see there though =( okay, so we meet up and chatted along. We didnt really do this for the past few days, even though we sat together every morning haha. The meet up was okay, i get to unleash my hunger hoho, but i find it still kinda little compare to Joshua's portion =.= ohh yeaa~~ we get to talk about our past and experience, was cool haha

After lunch, we went back to the theater for the closing ceremony, it was really hot in there, couldnt stand it, so i went to the toilet and cool myself down =) its much cooler in the toilet =.= but the closing ceremony was late, so we chatted a little more haha

At around 4 or 5, cant remember >.<, the ceremony ended and we took off. But of course, before we left, we decided that we will come out and group again some other time when we are free haha

well thats all, took me 3 days to type this =.= currently, im not even sure what i typed are the true things or not. Kinda blur @@ hahaha, well this is what i thought. =)
